Ashland Days Inn

This hotel is not updated or fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, and economical. There are plenty of towels, the heat is good, the beds are comfortable, and the TV works well - lots of channels. There is a small fridge and a microwave. It is close to the highway. We needed a place to spend the night (going both ways), not to hang around. It was perfectly adequate - more than adequate. Great for the traveler, both business and leisure. Comfortable rooms at very reasonable prices.

this was by far the worst experience i have ever had in a hotel. the air went out and the hotel would not fix it or move us to another room, in august. the microwave wouldn't turn off unless unpluged, and the refridgerator would randomly shut off. the room smelled of mildew and ashtray. it was a disgusting, dirty, unsafe, awful experience. ...read more

This is very much an economy only hotel. The only good things I can say is that check in was easy, and the bedding appeared to be clean, although it was ripped. The carpet was ancient, the room smelled musty, the air conditioner was loud, the clock was broken. Overall the room was filthy. The toilet needed cleaning, and the cheap plastic shower stall was slashed through to the wall in several places, and it was a challenge to find a towel or washcloth that wasn't permanently stained. You just get the feeling that every surface, with the exception of maybe the bed, was dirty. The complimentary continental breakfast consisted of mini bagels, cereal, muffins, and juice and coffee. The balcony was leaning so much, we thought that it was going to fall down. The ceiling in the room and bathroom was falling down. There were strange splatters on walls and beds. The sink would not turn off. The staff was ok, but the conditions of the hotel was horrible! Would not stay there again. ...read more

Difficult to get to from highway, old, dirty walkways, filthy, dirty with odor, would never recommend.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had staying at a hotel. When we spoke to the front desk about the lack of cleanliness with the room, no smoke detector, etc.
